Mattresses: heavy, awkward, and nobody wants them

A queen mattress alone. A bunk set with box springs. A guest room full of them after a downsizing. Licensed haulers carry them out and keep them out of a landfill when recycling is an option.

Good to know

• Clean mattresses are donation candidates — haulers check first
• Bed bugs? Say so when you book — it changes handling and price
• Same-day pickup available when you call before noon
• $75–150 per set typically
